It’s alright Buddha’s coming back…

The Burmese gilt sculpture of Buddha will finally be placed back on display this evening. A brand new mount has been made to allow the sculpture to take pride of place in the museum reception area. Visitors will now be greated with a most auspicious sight!

  1. It’s great to see a familiar face back again. I’m researching an essay at the moment and I’d love to see some comments from anyone else who remembers the Buddha and their thoughts about its return to display.

  2. I remember thinking how very special it was being met by the Buddha as I walked in on my very first day working in the Museum. Superb to see him back on display – and his smile being one of the first things our new visitors are met with!
