As part of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered History Month the Manchester Museum will be hosting a day of free workshops which will explore lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer issues called Coming out of the Cabinet. The event will be run by postgraduate students at the School of Arts, Histories and Cultures at the University of Manchester. It will take place on Saturday 20th February from 10:30am – 4:30pm.
The aim is to offer an informal setting in which people of all ages and sexualities can share their impressions and memories of Manchester’s queer cultures, or simply enjoy thinking about the rich heritage of the city. Come along for the day or feel free to drop in to any of the various workshops.
