The Manchester Museum in collaboration with the Black Health Agency recently hosted a presentation evening dedicated to local school children who were participants in a Black History Month competition.
The competition involved the children designing t-shirts in response to the statement ‘Being Black is…..’. There was an overwhelming and exciting response and the winners were presented with a certificate and their t-shirts will soon go on display in the Living Cultures gallery. Attendees were also treated to several poetry performances and presentations on Black identity and history.
